FRIENDLY TRIP AT THE HEART OF BEAUJOLAIS - Sunday october 11th 2026

Dear foreign students,

This autumn, Lyon International, in partnership with CPU (Coup de Pouce Université), is inviting you to join us for a beautiful autumn day out in the Beaujolais wine region !

Where : Mont Brouilly and the Domaine Baron de l’Écluse, in the Saint-Lager vineyards.

Programme :

■ 8h45 : meeting at 20 quai Jules Courmont, in front of Intercontinental hotel Hôtel Dieu (metro Bellecour). Please be on time to take the bus !

■ 9h15 : departure of the bus to Odenas

■ Morning: stop at the Mont Brouilly viewpoint for a presentation of the Beaujolais Geopark, one of the geoparks listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will then take a walk through the vineyards towards the Domaine Baron de l’Écluse winery.

■ 12:00 p.m.: a delicious tasting of Beaujolais wine and saucisson au gène (sausage cooked with grape pomace), followed by a picnic brought from home.

■ 13:30 : visit of the Bottle Museum and the estate

■ 15:00 : Travel to Vaux-en-Beaujolais for a presentation of Gabriel Chevallier’s novel Clochemerle, translated into 26 languages, followed by a walk to discover the village.

■ 16h30 : return to Lyon 

■ 17h30 : back to Lyon

Fare : 19€ per person

Take confortable shoes, cash for the possible purchase of wine as well as snack for the day (no grocery, snack bar or food truck at the winery).
